People I know seem to love this, but it just wasn't for me (either right-now or at-all, I don't know yet). The arch voice of the omniscient narrator just ended up irritating me, the book followed characters I felt no connection with at the expense of those I did, and the impossibly-gluttonous fat man character left me cold.I'm sure plenty of you will like it or love it, however; this isn't an anti-rec as such.
