I'm a sucker for a good road trip novel, and this is a good road trip novel! I'm also a sucker for books with scrapbooky bits in them, and this has plenty - photos, cash register receipts, menus, and so on. They sometimes verge on twee (and I've no doubt some people may think them so), but it worked for me. Sure, you can see what's coming a mile off, but the journey is the fun, and this is fun. Bonus disability content for my peeps: PTSD or PTSD-like symptoms.
